Tiên Dung

Tiên Dung was a Hùng Vương princess famous for refusing every match her father arranged. On a pleasure trip down the Red River, she accidentally uncovered Chử Đồng Tử — a penniless young man who had buried himself in the sand to avoid being seen — and decided on the spot to marry him. No permission asked. No ceremony. Her father was furious and barred her from the palace. She and her husband stayed on the riverbank, opened a market, then both left to study the Dao. One night, a citadel appeared from nothing. By morning it was gone, lifted into the sky along with them, and the ground where it stood sank into the lake now called Nhất Dạ Trạch. Tiên Dung is not among the Tứ bất tử in her own right — she is worshipped alongside Chử Đồng Tử, always as a pair.
